An old 19th century factory was gutted to include three gallery spaces for contemporary art, alongside offices, storage, cafe and amenities.
The idea was to negotiate, in as few minimalist architectural maneuvers as possible, the artists desire to exhibit in a neutral gallery space (a kind of ‘tabula-rasa’), while allowing the history of the site and the structure to co-exist with the art, and not interfere with the artists intentions.
